Hello world! ~ Monday the 30th of March.

The day is halfway through and I’m rather sick with worry; nothing major, but it’s nerve wracking creating a new blog, what with everyone out there to read it.

The more I think about it though, the more I’m sure it’s what I want to do. After all, what else is there to do? Self isolation quickly gets boring, as I’m sure you’ll know. So, I decided to write this blog to help us all get through the months to come, and help us create a life that works.

The shopping came earlier this morning, and it was a lot better than last week, far more things actually came. You see, what with all of the panic buying, there’s a lot of things that are in high demand, meaning that things like rice, pasta and bread doesn’t come. My brother only drinks oat milk (about ten cartons a week) and orange juice. Last week, neither of these came, and now we can only buy 2 milks because of the new rules to try and stop stockpiling. Seriously guys, there’s enough food to go around, but only if everyone starts to calm down about it and act normal. What about all of the elderly people who can’t get what they need because of how selfish we’re being? Think before you buy everything, please.

I also want to talk about schools. What are we playing at? We’re in the centre of a pandemic here, and none of us actually care because we’re all just so happy that schools ended.

It shouldn’t be like this, and it makes me wonder, why do we hate school so much? Is it the people? The work? Or something else? Why are we all so happy about a deadly disease that’s killing off thousands of people, just because it’s also caused schools to close? If everyone hates school this much, then we really need to do something about it.

But, adults don’t think like this. Why do you? If any adult is reading this, why just assume that either we like school, or are just being silly about not liking it? Yes, this might sometimes be the case, but if schoolchildren are grateful to this virus for closing schools and not caring about the deaths and destruction, something needs to be done. And we can’t do it alone. We need the help of adults to change the system, we need you to help us have a better life. Is that too much to ask?

I’m sure these topics will come up again in my posts, but for now that’s all. Have a nice day everyone, and good luck if you need it. Xoxo
